Postgraduate Seminar Details

This focused seminar will be a space for postgraduate tourism and hospitality researchers (PhD or Research Masters) to present their research regardless of the stage in the research process.

It will be an informal environment to enable the students to share their research work, engage in conversation, network with other researchers and receive feedback and support from their peers.

Participants are expected to be enrolled as postgraduate students within fields related to tourism, leisure, recreation, hospitality, mobilities/transport, social/cultural geography, cultural studies or similar.

The abstract submission for this seminar should be a maximum of 500 words and relate to the conference's theme. The abstract should emphasise:

  • Background and justification for research in this area
  • Overview of relevant literature
  • Details of methodology or proposed methodology
  • Description of next stage in the research process.

Students should also submit a short bio (100 words) which describes their stage in the research process and educational and industry experience.

Students will be expected to give a short presentation (10 minutes) of their work during the seminar.

The seminar will provide the opportunity for the candidates to share their viewpoints and collaborate with like-minded individuals.
