Abstract

As part of the University’s commitment to research excellence, research data should be managed to the highest standards throughout its lifecycle. Towards the end of the last Academic Year, the University’s Research Council and Academic Council approved the Research Integrity (RI) Policy.

Along with the principles of RI being accountability, honesty, reliability and respect, the RI policy also states that not preserving primary research data and/or poor research data management and storage are forms of unacceptable research practices. To support compliance with these aspects of the RI Policy, four bitesize research data webinars have been arranged. These webinars are led by Thérèse Ahern (Metadata & Research Data Librarian). The first webinar is on “How to password protect your research data”.
